Holmfirth Tech is a vibrant community hub in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, offering space for creativity, learning, and collaboration. Housed in a historic building, it provides affordable studio, event, and meeting spaces for individuals, businesses, and community groups.
The Tech hosts a variety of workshops, classes, and events, supporting arts, education, and local enterprise. It aims to foster a strong sense of community while promoting sustainability and innovation. Holmfirth Tech is a vital resource for the area, encouraging connections and creativity in a welcoming environment.
The Tech, now a Grade II listed building, initially opened in May 1894 and has served the community of Holmfirth for over 100 years. On the outside the Tech is a splendid example of late Victorian architecture: inside it is warm and welcoming.
The aim of Holmfirth Tech Ltd, a community benefit society, is to protect and promote the beautiful Victorian building. The Tech is the place where people of all ages come together for learning and creativity, for enterprise and support.
Wendy is putting on a solo exhibition, taking over the Tech’s Exhibition Space which is available for artists to display their artwork.
The Artfulness Gallery is a virtual art space established in April 2021, dedicated to showcasing a diverse range of artistic expressions through both group and solo exhibitions.
Operating entirely online, it provides artists with a platform to exhibit their work to a global audience without the constraints of a physical location. Each exhibition typically runs for two to three weeks, allowing for a dynamic rotation of artworks and themes.
Wendy was invited to exhibit with The Artfulness Gallery - it was her first solo exhibition.
