The standout piece from my April 2026 residency!

This piece represents a new direction for my artistic practice. It’s still my semi-abstract style, but more representational. Completely set by my surroundings which affected me deeply. The freedom of having 2 weeks alone to focus on myself and my work changed my perception and how I relate to my work. This piece captures those feelings of rediscovering myself after half a lifetime of focusing outwards, rather than inwards.

Painted in one colour in a single sitting during my Easter residency on Milos, inspired by the island’s intense blues and feeling of freedom

Painted in phtalo blue only - the white is the pure canvas left untouched for ultimate contrast

Solid wood frame, hand-painted in white and Phthalocyanine Blue - the same blue as the artwork - finished with clear varnish.
