Imagined Pink Flowers, Reimagined Nature Series, December 2024,Acrylic on deep edge canvas,25x25cm.
Stretched canvas on quality wood frame, wired and ready to hang, signed on reverse.
In the depths of winter, I struggle with being indoors and lack of connection with nature. This series brings summer to my studio even when it’s cold and dark.
This vibrant, textured painting features a cluster of stylised pink flowers with bold green stems and foliage, set against a richly layered background of blues, purples, and greens. The petals are built up in thick, expressive strokes of pink and yellow, creating strong contrast and a sense of tactile energy. The lush green stems arc dramatically, giving the flowers a sense of personality and motion.
This piece invites viewers into a vibrant fantasy where nature doesn’t follow rules. Rather, it celebrates boldness, whimsy, and emotional colour.
